Greetings, denizens of time! Allow me to introduce myself – I am the one and only Honest John Presto (AKA Honest John Presto for my non American friends), raconteur extraordinaire and self-proclaimed time traveler!
Though some may question my fanciful tales of voyaging through the ages, I can assure you that every word from my lips is as honest as the day is long. When I regale you with stories of dining with Caesar or waltzing with Queen Elizabeth, you can bet your bottom dollar that it’s the gospel truth!
Now I know what you’re thinking (I’m also a mind reader) – how could a simple showman like myself unlock the mysteries of the space-time continuum? Well that, my friends, is a epic saga for another day.
You’ll just have to take my word that through a serendipitous series of events I came to acquire a device that allowed me to skip merrily through history’s highways and byways. Ever since, I’ve dedicated myself to experiencing the most interesting epochs that human civilization has to offer.
So come along for the ride! Allow me to transport you with my poetic prose and silver tongue as I describe rubbing elbows with the greatest figures of the past. Though I may embellish from time to time, I promise that I will never outright lie to you, my honoured guests. Honest Jon guarantees it!
